The release of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer sport based drama Jersey has been postponed again. The makers issued an official statement and confirmed the same. The film, which is a remake of Telugu movie of the same title, was slated to release on 31st December after many delays. But owing to the rising Covid and Omicron cases in the country, the makers decided to postpone the release date of Jersey. It’s the right decision at the right time.
The statement read: In view of the current circumstances and new Covid guidelines we have decided to postpone the release of Jersey. We have received immense love from you and want to thank you all for everything.
Maharashtra is running only on 50 per cent occupancy. Recently the theatres in Delhi were asked to shut the shops. Delhi government has also issued the order to shut down the theatres, and multiplexes to curb the rise in Coronavirus cases.
