The attacks on Mumbai by 10 member squad of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, started on 26th November 2008, that resulted in the deaths of 166 people, including 26 foreign nationals. Business tycoon Ratan Tata posted heartening post on the 13th anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. He also paid homage to those who lost their lives in the deadly strikes.
26th November 2008 was an ordinary night in the busy city of Mumbai. But suddenly the city was taken over by five groups of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. From Cafe Leipzig to t Taj Hotel, the terrorists went on a killing spree.
Around 300 people were injured in these attacks that lasted four days. 9 terrorists were killed by the security forces while the tenth named Ajmal Kasab was hanged after the trial on 21st November 2012. The terrorists from Pakistan had entered the country via waterways.
Ratan Tata wrote on the wall of Instagaram: The hurt we endured 13 years ago today, can never be undone. We should however continue to let the memory of the attacks, which were meant to break us, become the source of our strength as we honour those we lost.
