Iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after testing COVID-19 Positive. She is admitted to the ICU of Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. The sources say that she is also suffering from pneumonia.
Dr Pratik Samdhani from Breach Candy hospital, who has been taking care of the 92-year-old singer for the past few years, revealed that she was admitted on Saturday night and she is also suffering from pneumonia.
The sources revealed that melody queen Lata Mangeshkar is mild COVID positive. Considering her age, the doctors advised that she should be in the ICU because she requires constant care.
Last year she had donated Rs 7 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for coronavirus-related works in Maharashtra. Following this, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray thanked the singer for her gesture and urged the people to contribute towards the state government’s relief measures.
She is a recipient of India’s highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna in 2001. Lata Mangeshkar has recorded songs in over 36 Indian languages.
