It is known that Jacqueline Fernandez was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection to the money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Sukesh has been accused of extortion amounting to approximately Rs 200 cr. According to the latest report, yesterday Jacqueline Fernandez was stopped at Mumbai Airport by immigration officials and briefly quizzed by the Enforcement Directorate before being let go. The actress wanted to go to Dubai for a show.
The Sri Lankan lady has been asked to appear before the investigative agency in Delhi, and presently barred from leaving India in view of LoC. ED will issue fresh summons to her to appear at its Delhi office on Monday.
ED has already filed a 7,000 page charge sheet against conman Chandrashekhar in which Jacqueline Fernandez and actress Nora Fatehi have been mentioned.
The investigation into alleged proceeds of crime reaching the Bollywood celebrities from Sukesh Chandrasekhar is still on, and the actor is to be questioned again.
