After the Andhra Pradesh government announced their decision on ticket pricing and online ticketing system, Megastar Chiranjeevi decided to appeal to Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan about the issue. On Thursday, megastar Chiranjeevi took to his Twitter handle and addressed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in this statement, he urged to reconsider the decision regarding movie ticket price in theatres.
Acharya said that Telugu film Industry would be benefited if the government makes the ticket price equal to the other states pointing that the GST is uniform across India. Chiranjeevi thanked the AP government for passing the bill to introduce an online ticketing system as it would enable transparency in the business. While supporting this move, megastar requested AP CM to reconsider hiking ticket prices in cinema halls.
Chiru requested Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to bring the ticket fare equal to the other states as GST. Megastar’ statement is going viral on social media.
As per the AP government, the exhibitors in AP should only screen the movies at the specified timings and the pricing of tickets would be under the control of the government.
