According to the latest report, Enforcement Directorate – ED has summoned Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for questioning in a case linked to the 2016 ‘Panama Papers’ global tax leaks case. The daughter in law of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been asked to depose before the agency in Delhi.
Aishwarya has been summoned to appear before the Investigating Officer in Delhi. An ED official said, “We summoned the actress for 20th December. As of now we have not got any reply from her side. The summon was sent to her Mumbai residence. If she will not respond and join the probe, the ED will think of further legal action. They might seek legal opinion from experts to decide the future course of action.”
The reports are coming that Asihwarya Rai was summoned twice before. However, she didn’t join the probe. The actress was one of several prominent personalities named in The Indian Express-ICIJ 2016 Panama Papers leak.
